Biography
写真家・櫻井龍太は、人々や動植物、都市など、世界を普遍的に捉え、とりわけヌード写真表現に尽力してきた。ありのままの姿、裸身の人々を撮影することにより、人間特有の本質的な行動や姿形を見出す。また、ドイツ発祥のナチュリズム運動や、日本のアニミズム、東洋思想に見られる自然哲学を通して、21世紀におけるヌーディズムの可能性を探求している。
Photographer Sakurai Ryuta captures the world universally in his photographic style of snapshots of people, flora, fauna, and cities, with a particular emphasis on nude photographic expression. By photographing naked people without clothes, He discovers the essential behaviours and forms unique to human beings. Sakurai also explores the possibilities of nudism in the 21st century through the naturism movement that originated in Germany and the natural philosophy found in Japanese animism and oriental thought.

2004 - 2006 Studied photography under Prof Hiromi Tsuchida
2006 - 2009 Worked as assistant of the photographer Masami Mori in Tokyo
2010 - 2013 Worked as photographer at publishing company in Osaka JAPAN
2014 After becoming independent, Sakurai wandered around Asia to create his works.
2015 Lives and works in Düsseldorf
