Biography
櫻井龍太はスナップ写真を通して人々や動植物、都市を普遍的に捉え、とりわけヌード写真表現に重点を置いてきた。服を着ていない人々の裸身を撮影することにより、人間特有の本質的な行動と姿形を見いだす。また、ドイツ発祥ナチュリズム運動や日本の混浴文化に見られる自然観を通して、21世紀におけるヌーディズムの可能性を探究している。
Sakurai Ryuta has universally captured people, flora and fauna, and cities through snapshots, especially focusing on nude photographic expression. By photographing the naked bodies of unclothed people, he discovers the essential behaviour and forms unique to human beings. He also explores the possibilities of nudism in the 21st century through the naturism movement that originated in Germany and the philosophy of nature found in Japan's mixed bathing culture.

2004 - 2006 Studied photography under Prof Hiromi Tsuchida
2006 - 2009 Worked as assistant of the photographer Masami Mori in Tokyo
2010 - 2013 Worked as photographer at publishing company in Osaka JAPAN
2014 After becoming independent, Sakurai wandered around Asia to create his works.
2015 Lives and works in Düsseldorf
